A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between India and Vietnam to develop the National Maritime Heritage Complex in Lothal, Gujarat. The move is significant since it aims to preserve and celebrate the shared maritime history of trade and exchange between the two countries. The two countries also agreed to exchange archival materials, artefacts, replicas and paintings and technical expertise related to their maritime histories.
