On March 16, 2024, Union Tribal Affairs Minister virtually laid the foundation stone for a project to establish the 'Centre for Preservation and Promotion of Tribal Culture & Heritage' Museum in Padampur in the Kharsawan district of Jharkhand. This centre aims to showcase Jharkhand’s tribal culture, history, and heritage, serving as a knowledge hub and tourist attraction. The museum would also feature a live centre for artisans to produce and showcase their work.
