The historic Chadwick House in Shimla, well-known for hosting Mahatma Gandhi during his visit for the Cabinet Mission, was transformed into a unique museum titled ‘Chadwick House: Navigating Audit Heritage’ Museum. Inaugurated by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, the museum is housed in a building that once served as a training school for the Indian Audit and Accounts Service from 1950 before falling into disrepair. Now revitalised, the museum showcases a range of interesting artefacts, including Remington typewriters, British-era franking machines, antique clocks, and trophies from the field offices of the Comptroller and Auditor General.
