A decommissioned Soviet-era TU142 aircraft was inaugurated as a museum in Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh. This addition enriches India's collection of naval aviation museums, offering visitors insights into the aircraft's instrumental role in maritime and anti-submarine warfare, as well as its use for surveillance operations during the Kargil War of 1999. The museum will serve as a space of interest to aviation enthusiasts and those wanting to explore India’s military history.
