On August 1, 2024, Union Minister of Culture, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat inaugurated a three-day State Conclave on the Yuga Yugeen Bharat Museum at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event aimed to enhance collaboration between state museums and the central government in developing the Yuga Yugeen Bharat Museum, envisioned as the world's largest museum, covering 154,000 square meters. The conclave offered a platform for state museums to share insights into their collections, fostering a deeper understanding of India’s vast artefact wealth. It also featured capacity-building workshops on collections management, archiving, and museum administration, equipping museum professionals with essential skills. Additionally, the event highlighted funding opportunities for state-level museum development.
