The MATI Art Foundation and Crafts Museum collaborated with the National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy in New Delhi to showcase Vadya, an exhibition on rare musical instruments of India. With a range of folk, tribal and classical musical instruments on display, the exhibition aimed to document, preserve and exhibit instruments, many of which are either extinct, or on the verge of extinction. Some instruments on display included the Tuhila, Kinnari, Panchmukhi Baja, Buang, Decca and Ghasiya Baja, and a book on musical instruments featuring over 200 pages of photographs and essays by scholars and writers provided a deeper understanding of the history and cultural contexts of these treasures.
