Opened in January 2025, the Archaeological Experiential Museum in Vadnagar presents over 2,500 years of continuous habitation through a combination of excavated material and digital interpretation. The museum is organised into thematic galleries that trace the town’s historical, cultural, and economic developments, displaying over 5,000 objects including ceramics, coins, ornaments, and skeletal remains. The museum connects artefacts to larger narratives of trade, craft production, and everyday life across different periods. A section of the museum also provides access to an active excavation site which is accompanied by a 3D virtual tour. Through this integration of archaeological evidence and interpretive tools, the museum offers a detailed account of Vadnagar’s long settlement history and its place within wider regional networks.
